Phill Palmer from Palmers Upland Cider has been in touch with the following message for our members:
“hello folks. i run a small cyder company in rogerstone near newport. we have bags of crushed apples and pears bagged up and ready for piggies to eat. between now and xmas we will get through about 10 tonnes of fruit. if anyone is interested in taking some, message me to arrange collection. bags will be left on my driveway so you could call at your convenience. diolch.”

Come and join us at the Royal Welsh Spring festival on the 19th/20th May 2018. There’s lots to see and a programme of talks and workshops. Something for everyone, whether you are new to pig keeping or an old hand! The breed stands are a recent addition to the show and hopefully breeders will be on hand to chat to you about the different breeds and answer any questions you may have.

Royal Welsh Spring Festival starts on Saturday.
Lots on the cards- Large number of pigs in the show, Farming Connect have a series of demonstrations with our president Bob Stevenson, Our stand will be dispensing teas and coffee and we have activities for children.
Members can collect a free membership card entitling them to free refreshments at all the shows we attend.
AND, we are launching our Junior pig handling competition ending with the championship at the Winter Fair. We have Pig Agility back by popular demand.
We will have a folder with pigs for sale in it. If you have any for sale, please bring photo and description on A4 sheet and a poly pocket awaits.
On Saturday evening we have a get together at the stand from 5.30 onwards with a shared buffet. Bring a chair, drink and food to share. We will have some entertainment-. See you all there!!
